Some DOA2 on Dreamcast for Itagaki-san. Spent quite a few maddening hours unlocking costumes in Survival Mode back in the day (though I think that was DOA Ultimate).

RIP, 58 is too young.
A TV with Dead or Alive 2 for Dreamcast on it. The TV is on a stand with various consoles.
"'All the data that we see is when people use voice, they love it,' says Mehdi. Some of that data is the billions of minutes that people spend talking in Microsoft Teams meetings."

I don't think they've ever spoken with anyone who uses Teams.
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

Copilot Voice and Vision are now rolling out.

Yep, it's solid. I think the second one was a bit of a step backwards (and have no idea bout later sequels), but the first game did a really good job balancing fun gameplay and the almost life sim type stuff. It wasn't just "haha booby outfits".
Remix is done (and it owns). Release date imminent?
New song's done. Remix in progress. Release date soon. :)

In this essay, I will explain how “Techno Syndrome 2021” reflects a lack of understanding of what makes the original so memora-

*a group of ninjas in identical outfits differentiated only by color palette whisk me away*
had a really big “figuring myself out” moment while playing it. like, genuinely. always wanted to say thank you.

so, thank you.
Thanks! My odds of finding one locally seem *slim* but I’ll definitely poke around eBay etc.
No problem! Any tips on shopping for one? Curious how you decided to get that one, or if you happened upon it in your travels. Another trip to Japan sadly isn’t in the cards for me for a while.
That’s a beautiful instrument. I want one. 😅

Lovely cover, as well.
Really enjoying this one. Reminds me of some stuff off Compass, in a good way.

Aside from mixing, I made a little .bat file to let me select what editor I want to use when I hit the Edit button on a sample in Ableton. Surprisingly straightforward workflow hack if you use multiple (e.g. RX and Melodyne).
If you use anything that supports ARA2, give the new MTrackAlign a shot. It *requires* ARA2 but is only $22.

I'm on an old version of VocAlign, for what it's worth, so it's possible the newer one isn't as failure-prone. It does do an extremely good job, I was just pissed that it lost work.
tbh any plugins that have to use the "record into it because Live doesn't have ARA2" hack should probably be on that list (see also: Melodyne)
VocAlign is officially on my "use and then immediately bounce because it can't be trusted" list.
Mm, let’s say mid-November instead of Halloween for the new song. It deserves more obnoxious promotion than I can manage by then.
Licensing a stock photo for the album art and the standard license only lets me print it 500,000 times. I hope I’ll be able to afford the better license if I sell that many. 😄
Admittedly, they might want album art.
Alright, vocals are mostly done for the new song. Did an Izotope RX pass for mouth noises and other general RX things. Just a few tweaks to make and they’ll be good to go.

Then one more “fun pass” to see if I want to add anything…fun, then mixing, then mastering, then off to Symphonic. Easy.
Spotify, later: “we never said the 30 minutes would be in a row”
Yeah, and I certainly wouldn’t go so far to say wages have kept up with COL because they demonstrably haven’t.

I feel like we’ve seen the $20-40 segment grow too. The “AA” game is alive and well, and that was no sure thing 10-15 years ago.
