From Date Ariane 2. Ariane enjoying a soak in the hot tub. #3Dart #visualnovel This is what Date Ariane Remastered will become on it's 2.0 update early 2026.
From Date Ariane 2. Eating at the Drive-N-Dine. Making a new version was a bit of building new sets for Daz Studio and converting old sets for Daz. The Daz rendered images look a lot better.
"Whispers From The Star" is from what I can tell the first AI driven Visual Novel. Not written or illustrated by AI, but the main character is literally an AI chatbot. I watched several people play the game, here's my impression.

The First “AI” Visual Novel shows the flaws in the concept
Being in the Visual Novel development community, quite a few have wondered if it would be possible to integrate AI into a visual novel game. Instead of choices to choose from, an AI engine would be…

This weeks update picture: Standing in a park.
After announcing Date Ariane in DAZ Studio, thought I'd share a new pic each week until it releases.

Want the real truth about "Tilly Norwood"? She's just a variant of “default generic AI face” girl that come up whenever you prompt "Pretty woman" into Stable Diffusion.
Here's some AI generated realistic images, and three in other styles with exactly the same face.

Autists, like myself, are sensitive to many things. Most of us are empathetic and anti-authoritarian and won't obey rules unless they're explained to us. Yes, we have weird stims, and weird interests, but neurotypicals are not superior in any way.

Contributors to Politics: We need more data and hate queers and taxes.

Voters: We need more money, healthcare, education, and housing.

Politicians: Let's force everyone to identify themselves online, and cut money for healthcare, education, and housing. Especially for the queers.

Investors in AI: Let's spend whatever it takes to make an Artificial Einstein that can outsmart people and allow us to reduce payroll.

Customers in AI: We don't actually see much reason for AI, and peak LLM was GPT-4.

AI companies: Let's waste another $60 billion on an even bigger model.

Investors in gaming: Make more Live Service games, and make them more realistic.

Customers in gaming: We like fun gaming loops with likeable characters and fun settings that we can play by ourselves or with a friend.

Gaming companies: Let's make another live service. 🧵

The failure of the gaming industry, the failure of AI, and the failure of politics all have the exact same cause.

The "people in charge" only listen to "investors" instead of their (potential) customers.

This is why capitalism is dying to technofeudalism.🧵

I have a steam deck. My own games work on steam deck, but because the help menus require the touch screen instead of the controllers, they can't be "certified".

If you want to "De-Google" > kagi.com
Yes it's a search engine you pay for ($5 a month) but the ability to emphasize some websites, and block others, and get answers you want immediately instead of buried in two pages of ads is worth the price.
Kagi Search - A Premium Search Engine

Mostly ease of porting and ease of use. Obsidian had a separate editor for notes and I didn't really like that. I still have Obsidian on my PC, I just use Joplin a lot more.

I actually use Thunderbird. I have a Proton Mail account and paid a little extra for Bridge access which is an encryption decoder that runs on my PC, and serves as a localhost email server so I can use Thunderbird.

A program I use for work has problems with Linux-WINE, so it's dual boot if I use Linux.

I'm switching to LibreOffice.
I try to do everything in ODS files, but OpenOffice opens and saves to DOC and XLS as some people require it.
LibreOffice does too, so it seems the way to go.
