Now, it needs to do what SpindleHorse did and unionize, since it's a partner with it and the studio animating Lackidasy Cats. Which is something Disney failed to do in it's 100 years.

And protect people from those looking to cause harm like the UTTP (Youtube Troll Police).

Glitch proving it is what Disney was in the 20th Century: A powerhouse of innovation and cartoon magic that manages to amaze all ages. We're facing a GREAT future with that company, and it's only gonna go bigger yet! :D

ICE secretly kidnap autistic boy during bathroom break—never notify parents.

Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone.

I think you brought this up before, but it bears repeating, how much money did they need? I think the original HVerse pilots were done with 70K and they probably just hit the ground running early with less. 2 million should have been more than enough to make at least a couple episodes, no?

Also forgetting SMG4, which is a completely separate revenue stream built entirely off of the backs of pre-existing Nintendo IP’s. Unlike other artists who have to meticulously build everything up organically, they have a content farm that acts as another massive revenue stream.

Crockett out here reading my mind
Exactly my concern
They have a massive lead over other production houses which they can use to build their own brand

It isn't helped that Glitch gets partial funding by making deals with Amazon, Netflix, and even the Australian Government. Even if it's not impacting their own works it does mean Glitch has an advantage that other indie shows don't. They have more budget than any other show could just starting out.

It’s not that Glitch is an Umbrella, it’s that they’re the biggest Umbrella by far and there’s no counterweight at the moment, leaving artists completely vulnerable.

That’s honestly precisely why I’m really nervous. The value of indie is having no corporate oversight and being able to exercise artistic autonomy. Indies by and large aren’t profitable, which makes them incredibly vulnerable. An umbrella provides security but almost always at a price.

It's certainly not a great look, but at the same time, no one else is providing support for Indies the way Glitch does. Looking at how much Zeurel struggles to get by with Monkey Wrench, it's only a matter of time before that gets picked up too.

Gravity is such a well directed sequence! The verticality is top notch directing!

But I personally don’t like the idea of kingmakers and I think it ends up playing a dangerous game.
