Banging a few words into a computer screen & watching an image appear does NOT make someone an Artist. What an insult to Artists years of hard work & dedication!

I smashed some numbers into a calculator today - Does that make me a f*cking mathematician, now?!

It really is an escape. This is actually my daughters page/idea. I'm helping her to run it as she's not confident enough to run it by herself yet (she has autism.) She is the artist & her art is so therapeutic for her. She is passionate about defending artists from tech giants who exploit everyone💖

Boycotting AI "art" doesn't necessarily stop all of this, but it's one generative AI thing that is so simple to Boycott because we can EASILY live without it. It is also just so unethical because it is theft - so many artists who have poured their heart & souls into their art are out of work😔

The issue is not me or you "seeing" Gen AI "art"💖 The problem is the people creating it to use for their profiles/fun/aesthetics. Musks wealth has doubled in the last year because of AI DEMAND (people USING it creates demand). Zuckerberg & bezos wealth has also rocketed because of their AI products😔

My second attempt at an acrylic landscape painting - I’m hypercritical, I feel the mountain is too peaked and it should have been off center. But, I had a lot of fun painting with friends. I will try again.

Also, I love how you call it "art". I do this too because it's NOT art. Art is creativity. AI does not have the ability to CREATE. Gen AI pictures is theft. Plain & simple. They’re stealing from talented, hard-working artists. Art is their therapy & their livelihood. They pour their hearts into it😔💙

I think this will be a real indicator of who is genuinely trying to change the situation we're in & who is just 'talking the talk' - actions speak louder than words🙂 Giving up AI 'art' won't be at all detrimental to most people's lives, but using AI 'art' it will give Musk even more wealth & power😔

It's Generative AI that is the main problem. People managed perfectly well without AI 'art' until fairly recently, so it's an easy thing to boycott - even boycotting every other month or one week a month makes a massive difference to the investors confidence &, in turn, has a major impact on wealth🙂
