Agreed, renewables can be a supplement. But last year we were hit with a 25% increase in the cost of power, compounding on previous high price rises as the penetration of renewables increased.

More like which country. The US still has cheap power and gas. For us, 25% power cost increase last year with retail costs rising as a function of the penetration of renewables. The environmental damage and the areas covered by wind and solar farms a source of massive concern.

Hydro is good for countries with plentiful water storage and dominates in some countries such as Norway. Not so much in other regions.

Wind and solar generation is outside human control, subject to the vagaries of the weather, seasons and rotation of Earth. You cannot rely on either. Batteries can best be described as ephemeral in both the draw down/storage ratio and operating life.

Ukraine started using balloons last year. They provide a distraction for Russian sensors during drone swarm attacks and also use GPS and munitions to strike targets from high level. But a somewhat stately advance compared to drones.

I'd love to have some cheap green energy. Unfortunately power prices increase as a function of the penetration of renewables. You can have reasonably priced, reliable baseload power or you can have intermittent, unreliable and expensive wind and solar.

Actually cruise missiles or drones loaded with nuclear waste from Ukraine's storage facilities would be effective in making Moscow uninhabitable and a reasonable response to any use of tactical nukes by Russia.

A 200 to 1 exchange of prisoners seems reminiscent of Trump's concept of a cease fire based on Ukraine handing over a significant area of land that Russia hasn't been able to take by force.

Apparently south towards the village of Mali Shcherbaky. Possible an attempt to cut the T0812 East - West road to hamper Russian logistics. I presume Russia reduced forces in this area for their costly summer offensive leading to a small but successful incursion by Ukrainian forces.
