am i too late to hyperfixate on mesmerizer to such a degree i listen to nothing but mesmerizer for three days straight, project my current life circumstances into the meaning of the song and draw art of me and my friend's OCs in it?

me and my friend's OCs standing on both ends of the drawing, depicting one of the frames from the song mesmerizer. the scene depicts both standing on a green hill with confetti all around them, a red pillar in the middle with a yellow star.

my OC is on the right side, wearing a large red wizard hat with a star at the end, a blue jacket with yellow stars and cyan cloudy shoulders + wrists, purple gloves, purple scarf and pink roller skates. they also have pink hair, glasses and reddish-pink eyes. on the other side is my friend's oc, who is wearing a pink shirt, greyish-pink skirt, dark-red heels and a rose in her hair. she also has pink eyes, grey devil horns and tail and dark brown hair.

i thank tony fox, temmie, magnolia, chess and literally the rest of the entire team for making a work of art so true that it managed to change the lives of countless people.

i hope that one day even someone like me can help make the world a better place through my art like undertale did.

its humbling to see that something which you previously thought was an untouchable masterpiece be so flawed yet a heartfelt labour of love.

a game like undertale should not have become as big as it is, and yet there it is, sitting as proof that passion and sincerity can still win in our world.

it feels strange to be celebrating the anniversary of a masterpiece that's core themes are fundamentally human and compassionate in a time where hatred and fear is so powerful and ever-present. maybe that is exactly what #undertale is at its core: a message of hope and love in a dark loveless world.

frisk undertale in the middle of the drawing holding a heart inside of a yellow diamond. outside of the diamond, parts of asriel's final form are visible on a background of colourful squares. lettering covers the screen, the words "eternal hope" mirrored on both ends, with the e in hope converging into a heart shape. under the words, there are also two mirrored "10th"s.

with this drawing, i really wanted to bring out what i believe to be the most important part and takeaway from undertale: hope. just like frisk, even if it doesnt seem likely, maybe we too can create a better world with compassion, one where so many dont have to suffer. i believe that, alongside celebrating the anniversary of undertale, we should try to remember the people who, with compassion and love, held hope for a kinder world and tried to make it so. even in such dark times, we cant ever afford to lose our hopes and dreams (yeah i had to do the thing).

lil OC of mine! he has darker skin, bright blue eyes and the features of a deer (jagged antlers, small tail) and purplish messy flat hair. he also has a dark blue sleevless trenchcoat (with a patch stiched to it) and a purple turtleneck sweater (with small tears in the sleeves). he is also wearing a large dark purple wizard hat loosly sat on top of his head.

these are wise words actually. people can be so unempathetic nowadays that they just use communities and other people for their own gain to appear morally sanctimonious: its ironic that people like that typically lack the principles it takes to really be a moral person.
