Who needs coffee when you have a small bird feaking on your knee.
Didn't get a chance to take pics while I was out also didn't want to bc mostly children, but there was a very cool Tenna that stopped by our booth -- figures i was on a bird break and just coming back from the bathroom -- but one of the few handmade costumes I saw this evening.
Threegal.

Sitting in the park eating scavenger wraps (a mishmash of pilfered condiments and cheap prepped foods from the grocery store), and i hear familiar squawking somewhere nearby.
Three eagles circling one another -- mating season or territory dispute, who knows.
Depression sucks.
I have no social energy currently in my inventory, and gotta be talking to 3000+ people later.
Something stupid happened last night and it knocked everything else very off-kilter.
The internal conversations I've been having need to be external, but the words don't want to happen.
Not so long ago, it was 80 degrees.

This morning, it's a toilet seat chilling 59.
Refrigerated 100 Grand candy bars are dangerous.
The sensation of just gnawing and drooling on yourself with a solid chunk of caramel is intense.

... not that I'm sitting on the floor in front of the fridge doing exactly that.
I need an industrial sized kitchen at this point..

Love baking and cooking but doing multiple things is a pain in the ass without counter space.
This evening's recipe experiment ideas:

Kraken rum Pumpkin syrup
Made a tiny batch the other night with some leftovers but it was way too sweet.
Going to maybe use that with some condensed milk and see if I can't reduce it into a glaze for a sort of kettle corn or put it on pumpkin seeds.
Save the innards for your backyard birds&critters if you don't already have other plans!

I was dyed half orange by the time I was done carving all the pumpkins this year. Used a Dremel with the finer details and it flips small chunks of pumpkin everywhere.
I think? this is the last pumpkin I'm carving this year. Will get a table and chair next time... hunched over on the kitchen floor destroyed my back.

Folks' dogs. We're gonna surprise it with MiL tomorrow, just in time for Halloween.
This is why I stay up til 3AM to work on anything that requires focus. Spend half the day trying to keep her amused without getting hurt..

She's trying to get behind the picture frames. It's a miracle the 3M command strips haven't given out.
Lots of vultures hanging out in the towns we visited yesterday.

There's something about an overcast sky, mossy tree, and that silhouette..
The old seamstress/dress shop building we did a lot of work on (before the city bought out our friend) had one of those old timey Frankenstein's lab switches on their hybrid breaker-fusebox.
Doing electrical on that place was nerve-wracking.
The next place was nothing but Knob & Tube, lol..

Announcement

Me, my sister and familyfriend/lawyer started a company where we will be making children's books for young poc children and schools. There's more books featuring animals than there are books featuring black children, so we plan to make books to fill that void. More info will come soon.
Heck yeah!

I'm assuming you'll make an announcement when it's available, definitely interested in what y'all come out with (and your art is <3 ). There are a few lending libraries near the nature park I volunteer at (major emphasis on environmental education) and we work with schools fairly often.
Counterpart has to close the door whenever there are toaster strudels involved. He didn't close it all the way today, leaving maybe a 3" gap.

Bird pulled her best Accipiter moves and shot through the gap. Blew counterpart's mind.
P sure I remember seeing you post about it, so you're the reason I finally picked up the original Ranma ½.
Agree.
OG track is a banger on its own, but certainly lends itself well to remixes. This one is legendary 💙🧡

I don't know much about the Rayman games
I don't even know her name, but wtf cute.

Happy Spoopy or something.

Pumpkin number 2 of the year.
The innards made the second batch of syrup, the gourd itself carved with the logo of the local organization counterpart is a member of.
Waiting to hear what the kids think of it at today's free store.
Definitely wanted to wake up with unexplained anxiety.

I don't like these feelings. When it's been this prominent in the past, it usually means something bad has happened or is going to.
oh

forgot to account for mobile view.
guess imma have to dust off the old HTML.
stupid site builder doesn't have a spreadsheet function by default, the paid ones have low ratings.
