This year was about moving away from the state where my kids were born and away from family and friends, experiencing some family travel, changing from public and Montessori school to homeschooling, and buying our first home that we talked about for years on our walks. So many firsts for my family.

I was able to assist Writing and Illustrating for Young Readers remotely and host book club, and I have a few projects in the works that I just may dive into after taking quite the break. We had a fun New Year’s Eve last year - in honor of Thomas. Tonight, I’m just resting.

What an amazing conference week! Two of our attendees signed publishing contracts at the end of the class for book deals. Eight more of our attendees got an offer for when their books are ready. Majority of class! And the entire class got an out of the slush pile submission opportunity.
