I'm at Kumoricon! Table L11

You'd think after doing this for so long I'd learn to announce this stuff earlier lol
As I rebuild my drawing routine, is there anything ya'll would like to see more of?
A quick sketch as I try to rehabilitate my routine
Day 3 at AX o7

Still happy how the stand I built turned out lol. So much sanding
Day 2 at Anime Expo!

West Hall Booth 556 o7
Hey we're open for business at AX! Drop on by and say hi!

We're at booth 556 in West Hall (Entertainment Hall)
Hey ya'll, long time no see! I'm going to be at Anime Expo this year with my good friend @whispwill again. We got some new shirts to show off! (Also the ones from last year)

We'll be in West Hall (Entertainment Hall) at booth 550. Drop by and say hi!
It would be great to see her back, but I'm afraid that with it being such an open secret, she may get flooded with attention and end up right back in a high stress position

Here's hoping things work out
It's sad knowing how much pressure Gura felt being in her position. Even though I'll miss her, I hope whatever she ends up doing, she's in a happier less stressful place
Prior knowledge can help with understanding some references, especially since QuuuX is an alt timeline

Really just watch it if you think it looks good. Most people that enjoy Gundam haven't watched it all, and you can always go back to fill yourself in on lore if you feel like you're missing it
I've done like 15 passes at the composition of this picture, and finally today, it doesn't look wrong when I get back to my computer after sleeping on it, lol

Time to color and realize it's fucked up somehow anyways o7
Hmm.. do I take time away from an incredibly tight schedule to draw a dumb meme?
That sounds pretty cool! As long as you're not limiting yourself, I think it's great to make what ever art you're happy with
That's fine, I'm happy for people that know exactly what they want

It's also not the kind of person I'm referring to. The person I'm frustrated with uses excuses to shield their ego when they hit a bump in the road of their art journey
Forgive me if I've read your tone wrong, but it sounds to me like you've assumed I am an entitled, silver spooned elitist looking to elevate myself above the masses and their 'struggles'

I can assure you I am not. I have struggled, and still struggle to grow as an artist. It does not come easy
I voice my frustration with others because it is a quality I despise in myself and am always vigilant to temper. To shield our egos too heavily can stunts our ability to spot our deficiencies and can reinforce self defeating behavior, like convincing ourselves we're just not cut out to do art
As someone also speaking from experience, I'm aware of how delicate growing artists can be and how easy it is to feel like a failure

I'm aware of positive reinforcement, that it's more effective than negativity, and employ it liberally when engaging with newer/growing artists
Referencing a lot is very helpful, for sure. If you like sketchy work, that's fine, and at the same time I think you can still explore cleaner work if you'd like. Don't let your visualization difficulties limit the kind of work you'd like to make
