This document was made in 85’ so hearing that a 16mm projector is highly sophisticated compared to a moving picture machine is hilarious to me a little bit

Movies have remained a great source of entertainment for clients to the present day. The old “moving picture machine”, however, has long been replaced with a highly sophisticated 16 mm. projector, with a xenon lamp instead of carbon arc sticks for its projection light source.

I’m currently doing a lot of research rn for my comic, I went and actually talked to the local museum and I got some real niche documents to read!! They were super cool and I might be emailed a dissertation on another super niche topic one of them wrote recently!

A lot of what I’m researching right now is the history is Missouri’s state hospitals and I just read a crazy letter in 1909 from one of the hospitals to the state asking to stop marriages of people who have a history of alcoholism and crimes(eugenics).
