2 is the best of the best. Though 1 is a classic and they are connected stories. 3 was hit and miss with me, but 4 and 5 are also great, as well as tactics. They're such amazingly fleshed out stories, plus they scratch the collecting things itch by each having 108 characters to recruit.

Are you playing/going to play the Suikoden 1-2 remaster on the Switch? I just started, and it's going to be my entire personality for the foreseeable future. To this day, Suikoden is my fav RPG series ever. PS1 Era games were the shit.

That's what I'm on now! I've been a Dragon Quest fan since the PS1 days, so it's full of nostalgia. I love the job class system.
