I keep a daily log of things I’m grateful for because it is so easy (for me) to get lost in the sea of overwhelming information constantly bombarding me…and the gratitude logs remind me that good STILL exists.
Let’s get our $40b back from Argentina yeah? It’s like that money could maybe possibly help Americans?
As Lyndon B Johnson said: "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
Even though you literally cannot use food stamps to buy non-food items. 😮‍💨
But according to Kristi “no us citizens have been held or detained “ by ice 😮‍💨😡🙄
Normally, I’m working on practicing gratitude.

Currently, I’m 39w pregnant and so ready for this journey to end…

So I guess I’m grateful that I’ve given up on being health conscious and am fully food and rest indulgent now.
I’ll never understand the people who want to have a conversation with me while I’m clearly RUNNING on the treadmill with headphones on my head. Nothing about that says “this is a good time to catch up”
This is hilarious because I was telling my husband my grandma always THOUGHT potato soup was my favorite (and I never had the heart to say it was, in fact, not). Yesterday, my mom messaged me to say she made potato soup and was dropping some off for me 😂 the veil is definitely thin!
Gratitude log day 182:
-my husband wiping away my tears and kissing my forehead as I complained about feeling unattractive at 39w pregnant
-one of the most glorious fall days; so beautiful that we took two very long walks with the dogs
-a crisp apple from the fridge
-hot ham and potato soup
Gratitude log day 181:
-an absolutely delectable French press coffee with collagen, protein powder, caramel, butter, and a splash of goat milk
-finally completed the task of washing all of the walls, trim, baseboard, and window sills
-“what’s going on” by 4nonblonds
Folks who have given birth…

How did you know that labor was imminent?
Growing older, I’ve learned to be fiercely protective of my energy.
Gratitude log day 180:
-my neighborhood went so big with Halloween! Fire pits in front yards, candy stations, warm beverages, etc.
-acupuncture
-tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich for dinner
Either you think children/elderly/disabled shouldn’t starve or you’re a bad person. There really isn’t any room for debate.
Gratitude log day 179:
-bookstore in my small town has a sign calling out white supremacists
-acupuncture
-a crisp, sunny, colorful walk this afternoon
-a clean conscience
When a person making $50k a year has $36 tax dollars going to fund SNAP and almost $1000 going to fund corporate subsidies… you know there’s an issue.
Gratitude log day 178:
-the beauty that contrast created in autumn, rainy grey skies become a perfect backdrop for brilliantly colorful foliage
-crossing the threshold into a time where it’s not only acceptable but expected to put cinnamon in everything
-two snuggly dogs on my lap
Gratitude log day 177:
-solidcore interior doors (the difference in sound dampening is awesome)
-bidets (a cleaner body without so much paper waste!)
-wedge pillows (if you’ve had pregnancy heartburn, you know)
Bingo. The fact that 1 in 8 Americans depend on SNAP for a basic need like food, goes to show that those corporate tax breaks, CEO salaries, and unchanging minimum wage (doesn’t keep up with cost of living or inflation) are the real issues.
GENERAL STRIKE : THANKSGIVING THROUGH CYBER MONDAY. NO BUYING OR CONTRIBUTING TO CORPORATE AMERICA.
Just yesterday, I was able to answer neighbor’s request for nursery pots - ironically, I had been meaning to “get rid of” the extra pots I didn’t need. ♻️
I was so fortunate to receive medicinal perennials from one of these groups from someone who had a surplus. I planted them in my yard, processed them, and now have medicine in my apothecary.
Are you part of any local “free” groups?

I honestly think that these groups are the lynchpin of community. Offering what you have FOR FREE to someone who might need it is so important not just now but always.
Let’s hear all of the folks who have doubled down on advocating for big corporate tax cuts in recent spending bills because “they deserve cuts when they’re employing so many people”
Gratitude log day 176:
-buying directly from a local orchard (chatting with the man who’s ran it for 50 years)
-homemade chili and cornbread on a chilly evening
-the golden yellow hue of a fall Larch tree
