The account of my online friend and fellow artist SJM The Libra has been hacked here on BlueSky. Beware of direct messages form this account. I received one of those scamming ones claiming someone was impersonating me on here and they had proof. I reported and blocked.

Considering that I'm an artist who values the unique character of his style (numerous folks have described my style as "unique"), the generic feel of AI generated imagery might be one of the many reasons why I find it irksome. It runs so contrary to the idea of a signature style.

Souls Adrift

We roam this world
Mere shadows of life
But faintly perceived
By mortal kind.

We stalk dark halls
In derelict homes,
Forsaken cast-offs
Of yesteryear.

We whisper words
Never understood,
Our voices muffled
By death’s cruel hand.

We enter dreams
As pale reflections,
Memories of flesh
Long turned to dust.

We crave strong hearts
And warm, supple limbs,
But find only bones
And graveyard mould.

We are legion,
Wretched multitudes
Ever united,
Always alone.

Oh, creatives may make mistakes (I make mistakes all the time), but creatives are also capable of LEARNING from their mistakes.

I've seen nothing that leads me to believe that AI learns from its mistakes. More often than not, it seems AI tends to double-down on its mistakes.

I have given my loved ones actual human-made art I made myself, with my own hands, using my own creativity and skill. I like to think such gifts are truly from the heart.

yes, by law of leverage. let’s say 100k ai artists need to be onboarded onto AI. but now, with AI, millions of people can now communicate positive emotions with their loved ones and create emotionally moving content for people who think similar to them
