Autocracy Inc was a lot to digest. After that one and The Godfather I need a break from the serious stuff, so starting my #Pokemon journey with Fire Red. Never played these before. A kid recommended I start with this one. I hope I don't suck. #powkiddy#retrogames#retrohandheld#videogames#gba
Still not done with this book. #TheGodfather is taking longer than expected, but I've also been very distracted by these beautiful streets. Amazing coffee from Bernice, also, the canal nearby seems like somewhere where an enemy of the Corleone's might be dumped... #MTL#coffeeandchill#booksky
#PilgrimsProgress what to say...the 2nd part seemed to have lost the charm, did I miss something? Anyway, #FinalFantasy#DistantWorlds album was a good fit for this leg of the journey, followed by a nice stroll through some fall colours. That's my pilgrim's journey wrapped. #booksky#classics
I've finished none of the other books I've started but I saw this on the shelves and couldn't help myself. #AnneApplebaum 's writing always hooks me, so I'm excited for this despite the subject matter and any ties to the state of the world these days. #nonfiction#booksky#currentevents#MondayMood
I don't know if there's been a particular part but as soon as Hopeful joined Christian, everything made me giggle and warms the heart. The back and forth reminds me of my nephews, the 11yo mature, logical one trying to reason with the 6yo, who is eager and optimistic about everything in life.
Took a break after Omori, but have been itching to get into another #RPG, so here we go. I've heard the hype & I'm coming to this so late, but I dig it already bc it's #HD2D!
Reading the #PilgrimsProgress, making me feel even more guilty about being lazy and barely moving today. Thrilling cover art, very not thrilling journey, but calming and suitable for #sunset. Maybe it's me, the pilgrim sounds very whiny in my head. #booksky#classics#pilgrimmage#finallyfriday
#SamHarris put out a great piece through his substack about losing the information wars in the current (social) media landscape. While the whole article rang true, these closing #WordsOfWisdom spoke the loudest.
#TheSirensCall - a look at the info economy & how each advancement in access to info went through the same love/hate cycle in their time. The importance of being protective of how we are consuming info to avoid having our attention spans weaponized against us really hits home. #booksky#nonfiction
Saw your post, was very intrigued by the cover art, then laughed out loud reading a short synopsis. I've never read anything by this author, please tell me it's as dark and funny as it sounds.
For once I don't feel guilty about this mini #bookhaul. Usually I buy way more all at once, so quite proud of myself this time for practicing restraint. Just noticed it's all #nonfiction this round. #booksky#essays#travelbooks#history
Halfway through #Sociopath and enjoying it. The author's childhood filled with confusion around why they didn't feel or react the same way as others was heartbreaking.
Sad that the days are getting shorter. Feels like summer is over before it really started. On the flipside, the #dusk lighting is feeling warm and lovely. #twilight#ricohgriii#photography#streetscenes
I needed a junk food boost for this final push to finish #EvilInModernThought - the #philosophy of evil, applying the concepts to modern disasters, human & natural. It's v. deep so I could only digest bits at a time but the writing is fluid, beautiful & immersive. #nonfiction#booksky#fridayfunday
#Omori is all kinds of messed up. Some dark ass story behind this cutesy art style. This game was not at all what I expected. I really really enjoyed it, and find myself still thinking a lot about the plot points and clues throughout the game. #nintendoswitch#darkthemes#rpg#hiddengem#indiegames
