Herc takes a long time to eat his wet food, so I've been putting Kelly in the basement for a few minutes after she finishes eating to stop her from stealing his food. Tonight, she literally walked herself to the basement after she finished eating 😅 Such a good girl 💜

Herc is home; he tolerated the anesthesia well and charmed all the vet staff into giving him copious amounts of wet food. I bought him a flat of wet food to last through the next couple of weeks while his mouth heals. He has been yelling at me for food since he got home, so I think he's doing ok

Herkie ran under my bed as soon as I brought his carrier up from the basement and gave me quite the look of betrayal while Kelly was eating breakfast. 🥲 He then refused to get out of the carrier at the vet's. However, apprently one of his teeth got better, so he only needs one extraction.

Today I was giving a training session to EAs at one of my schools and two of them happen to be muslim. Thanks to my friend, I know enough to say "Inshallah" after saying I hoped to see them again soon. This led to a long discussion during which one EA said I needed an Arabic name. The other one

I made slow cooker lasagna bowls (it was 10° here...Ottawa, I heard it was 30°...are u guys ok?), showered and prepped my lunch because tomorrow is gonna be a shitshow and I'm not gonna wanna deal with any of that.

Like, obviously I love Herc and he is sooo floofy and gorgeous and majestic, but I cannot for the life of me get good photos of him. He's either moving, looking away or doing something very cute and goofy that makes him show up as a blur 😅
