You have to pull an LFE/Subwoofer channel out of the stereo audio and mix that nearly 2D to make it sound right. Folks should follow the tutorials and use Elevative’s software if they wanna emulate the directional sound. Pass it on!

A 2D button is super useful when doing 3D configuration I found. Leaving it up for users depends on the experience but also It's gonna take me a while till I'm kye good at worlds to justify that XD

To newer devs trying and failing there is an overreliance of grabbing a shopping cart of prefabs then hoping they all just work when that especially doesn't happen for ARC or STIR. The more experienced devs in the scene understand the issue and events with good 3D are showing up

There are worlds that are getting close and the argument of don't implement 3D stretches to people who feel the same about Shelter. Devs should be allowed to experiment so more people can experience that. Dieselworks did it well with ARC, Googie Forest has been doing great with STIR. Bass is coming!

Oh yeah, all the spatial solutions give you everything but never a good default setup. A few videos on spatial audio mixing / 7.1 is a good starting point and a day of upload and audio testing is def required

This frustrates me

Shelter implements 3D audio really well but gets shot down regardless because its not 2D. Devs from several world projects are trying to implement good audio upmixer solutions and the results are fantastic. Overall dont tell people to not use 3d, let people learn and build

DO NOT FUCKING USE 3D POSITIONAL AUDIO IN YOUR WORLD.

Sure its fancy that sound is coming from directions, but hey in the meanwhile you killed the bass. And thats just about the most important part of music.

There are fantastic attempts to do 3D audio that preserve bass and not all use ARC. It's a unique experience and trashing on a dev before they can dial it in is super discouraging., You can go elsewhere or EVEN BETTER, can learn to make their own venue
