Know Your BL Colours:
No: 36 Magenta

Arguably one of Triumph’s great ‘70s colours, this was also used on NZ-assembled BL cars as well…

I went on Blue Peter with my class aged about 8.
My mum washed my blazer with my Blue Peter badge on and I was left with a white shield.
Devestated!
Was only put to rest about a year ago when @janorak.bsky.social found me a replacement and presented it to me.

Likewise, I also clearly remember my mums office at the Institute of Civil Engineers in London. She left there when I started primary school.
I probably.only went there 2 or 3 times. Does not seem possible but I can picture the room and the smell of the place.

I love this quote.

Back in the day even packaging was not throw away. This is an Edwardian biscuit tin originally filled with CWS (coop) Crumpsall biscuits. These days we keep our keys in it.

A much underrated band. Their final.gig was at Cropredy in 2023. A few tears were shed that day as they had made it clear it was the end.
Dave Cousins passed away in July this year.

Has the webmaster been informed I wonder?

Totally based on cost. An outrageous bit of cost cutting.
EF80s were used in their millions I imagine they cost them no more than a couple of old pence each where as an EL84 may have come in at a shilling.

Non-electronics nerds scroll past now!!!
The sound on the telly I have been working on does not have great volume.
On investigation, the output valve is an EF80 fed from a crystal diode detector!!
No wonder it has rubbish volume!
This is a large 17" console tv that was over £100 in 1955.

Getting there but still feel lurgified. Actually getting sympathy because Mrs. R had it worse and before me!

Reform UK want to take public spending down to 35% of GDP — that’s a £275 billion cut, the equivalent of shutting down the NHS.

The Green Party knows the only way to rebuild our communities is by investing in our public services, not running them down and flogging them off to the private sector.

Personal view, Gambling is problem for many people, it has been exacerbated by relaxation of the rules, internet gambling, TV advertising etc. Tax it like cigarettes and alcohol.
