I legit had to fight back against that reputation for years, and it's still not completely gone, so sometimes I do have a chip on my shoulder about it, especially when it gets too much or too frequent.

it was basically nonstop, and was a self-perpetuating system that became more and more frustrating over time. Draw hyper -> gain notoriety as a hyper artist -> more clients who like hyper follow me and commission me to draw more hyper -> repeat.

That said, I still want to keep it at an arm's length. I don't want to encourage people to constantly give me commissions of fetishes I don't like, and I unfortunately sort of gained a reputation as a 'hyper' artist off of just a couple images that popped off, so there was a point in time where--

I definitely used to bitch and moan more than I do now, but I realized how childish that is given the privileges I enjoy as a full-time artist. I can't expect to be filled with joy and whimsy at all times: This is a job, not a hobby, I can't expect to only ever draw my favorite things 24/7

But also who says I'm complaining? I actually rather enjoyed this one, and I think you may be misinterpreting my use of the word 'stupid' here as an entirely negative thing, which is most definitely is not.
