I can’t really think of any great ones tbh but I’ve always had a soft spot for The Fly 2. It’s not a patch on Cronenberg’s original but it’s fun and it does something a bit different.

I’m a sucker for shark movies but this low budget Australian effort doesn’t work on any level. The setup - a group of soldiers stranded on a raft in the middle of the ocean while a huge shark picks them off one by one - should be thrilling but it’s shot like a stage play and the script is poor.

Really well made with an absolutely terrific canine performance but haunted house movies with doors slowly opening, shadows on the wall and mysterious creepy noises don’t really do a lot for me at this stage.
Very good for what it is and mercifully short at just 72 minutes so 👍🏻 for that.

Diane Keaton was one of the greats. A fantastic comic actress but had real dramatic chops too. Brilliant in Mr Goodbar, Shoot the Moon, Reds and The Godfathers but she’ll rightly be remembered for her sensational work with Woody Allen where she was every bit his comic match.
A one of a kind.
