I feel like using a standard single player game length like maybe 20-30 hours to say I "finished" it. Since that's a fairly normal game length of time, you can say you played it long enough to complete a game ya know?

That's it for me too. I don't even need it for several games I've played, but even when I don't it's completely blended into the background for me after a bit and I don't notice it anyway. It's better to have it than to not imo

That way naturally the environments can look and blend well, but a simple press of the button helps show where I can go ya know?

Obviously if there's a way to blend it in better then great, but some games that have done that I have a hard time still recognizing where I can go. i like the ones that you like, hit a button and it shows all the interactibles by glowing or outlining!

Without the case grips my fingers under the steamdeck would likely cramp up since my fingers would have to bend more. With the case it rests in my hand fine so I don't have to hold on quite as tightly

I'm fine with either tbh. I do have a case on my steamdeck too tho, so that would make my user experience a bit different since it has bigger grips

It was my first joystick controller with PS1, but I also used the GameCube controller a lot next gen, so developmentally I used both quite a bit. But its also likely just a mental preference for symmetry. The Steamdeck has its joysticks both close to offset position and I like that perfectly fine

Yup. That's why government regulations should be in place. It COULD work if it was forced. Meaning a certain percentage of all revenue gain has to be used on wage increases for workers below a certain level. But we don't do that. The capitalism is unchecked.

For me the ergonomics work better since it's how my hands rest, my thumbs shift lower, so I don't like offset as much and that's why options are good 😂 But yeah for sure, agreed on how they use all their controller tech in first party games, it really does add a layer of immersion that feels great!

I mean that's what they kept saying trickle down economics would do and they've let that persist since Reagan. Problem is that relies on the rich willingly letting their fortunes trickle down and increase wages or donate to charity. They don't. There's no regulation so they get away with this.

Uuugh people be dumb. Go to the ER dumbass 😭 Not quite the same but when I worked IT it was the same sort of common sense things you'd think people would know to check. telling someone to make sure the computer is plugged in or the power strip was on fixed more problems than I care to count 😭

It sucks this is what we've been lead to do, but at the same time I can't help but appreciate these places being community leaders and doing what they can to help. I donated some to a place closer to me in Portland that's doing something similar.
