Oh i agree. In the long run though, this fucks up execs too. It's just that they're too incompetent to realise. Expedition 33 became a thing because of former Ubisoft staff. I wouldn't be surprised if new studios and franchises arise from this idiocy too.

The sheer stupidity in that post is amazing. In some countries, games relatively DO cost 100 dollars. Or more. In some cases up to a THIRD of an average monthly income. In those countries, software piracy is commonplace, since nobody can afford such stupid pricing.

Perhaps as an outsider i'm seeing this wrong, but scabbing has a bad effect on their careers too. They'll forever more be linked to it and any drama that it spawns.

I for one would not be caught dead crossing that line, you do not do well in an industry by acting like that.

Right up until they realise nobody wants their AI slop. It's become a trend in companies to get the AI..then realise they ain't making money off of it. It's gonna be a massive bubble and when it pops...well.
