A Howard policy. I was in the dept tasked with setting up this dreadful system. Minister didn't want to know about complex planning, problems, fraud prevention, compliance etc. A case of get it done, NOW. Some "providers" were dodgy from the beginning.

I regularly do that trip, now masked because family member has long covid, so I sit in a front seat with vacant seat next to me, air vent blowing down directly in front of me. One snack and water is enough midway through 3.5hr trip. Sandwich or fruit and nuts.
