I found two pie recipes with cornmeal in the filling while going through my cookbooks today: pineapple-coconut chess pie and chocolate-pecan chess pie.
Cornmeal isn't very common as an ingredient in pies; the two chess pie recipes are the first I've found so far. I'm looking forward to finding more!
Found a recipe that specifically calls for corn oil. Think this might be the first one that I've found in my books so far!
