I wanted to. Karma got him as he went to get off the bus and accidentally slammed his elbow on something, it made a lot of noise and seemed painful. He seemed ok though.

JFC there’s a guy on the bus having a phone conversation through his noise cancelling headphones and he is basically shouting about his very mundane day to everyone. I also have noise cancelling headphones on and I can hear him.

Turns out Wellingtonians came out in force on Saturday, single biggest day of voting. 48% participation which is the best result since at least 2016.

I don’t watch much motor racing but I do usually watch the Bathurst 1000 except this year I didn’t have Sky, and I feel a little bereft - my childhood was spent hanging with the family watching it on TV.

I can see the water in the distance from my place and it looks choppy but certainly not the worst I’ve seen. Whitecaps for sure but not rolling ones. I hope it’s a better crossing than you anticipate.

I reckon Tiefenbacher won’t last the term. I don’t think it pays enough to keep his interest and he really wanted to be Mayor; he’s going to struggle I reckon.
