Beware of the Hat.

A top hat sits in a dark room, not a sound could be heard not even a rustle. It’s suffocating and deafening. Despite the darkness, the hat stands out, it’s all consuming void devouring any possible light that touches its surface. It’s as if you would be sucked in too if you touched it. Slowly, almost not noticeable if not for its brightness, a green light creeps out from beneath the brim of the hat. Like the light behind a door creaking open the light illuminated the dark. Suddenly the hat shifts and lifts itself. A horrible clawed hand encased in tight leather reveals itself like a hermit crab emerging from its shell. Then, another hand slowly comes out its claws scraping against the floor. Grotesque appendages follow after and from the ceiling more come, wiggling and twisting, eager to heed its master’s command. Evil is here and soon it will swallow the light, till all are left in its ravenous grip.
