At the end of the summer season Cheltenham Lido drains down the pool and re-fills for winter cold water swimming. But before that, they open it to dogs for the weekend. It's Mabel's favourite day of the year.

Excellent! We used to watch scary stuff with dad when mum was out at keep fit. It started with lots of 1950s alien invasion films then Sapphire & Steel, Day of the Triffids & Maelstrom (those melting dolls stayed with me) then progressed to Hammer. Much more fun than Coronation Street!

She's amazing. I think I was about 11 when I first watched it, but only from the hanging upside down throat-slitting bit. My dad videoed it but missed the beginning & decided it was suitable viewing for a child 😂
