Oh btw if anyone following me doesn’t know, (to my knowledge) Party Project is a game that’s basically fan-made Mario Party but you can customize a LOT which is why there’s so many mods (custom characters, custom boards, music and sound effect mods, etc.)

It’s pretty easy to make a custom character

I say possibly because these sellers almost never list when these books were released.. there’s two with different front covers that both say they were released in 2011 so I have zero clue if its just a cover change and nothing else or if there were two different books released in the same year

I actually do have enough money to get more than one book but usually I feel extremely guilty for whatever reason if I spend anywhere above 20 dollars on something even if it’s a major interest of mine and will likely be worth it 😭

Remembered one, uhh Sal can randomly pull objects out of his coat (as long as they fit) don’t think about the logic behind this in fact just think of it as how some stuff works in Who Framed Roger Rabbit where stuff like that only works when it’s funny

Okay either my brain is fried or I can’t think of anything else despite I feel like there’s PROBABLY more about Sal but whatever I’ll come back to this later if I remember anything

Anyway since Sal is heavily inspired by the CRISIS Client videos, I’m gonna say my fav of those is “Valhalla” one lol

Sal has a little old-school 3D effect around him (like how the CRISIS videos have old-school 3D on them), this applies to both his body and his “default” clothes, if he put on any other clothes the 3D effect would probably still be there UNTIL he takes the clothes off

There’s a dollar sign symbol in Sal’s eye, I honestly don’t even remember why I did that 😭 and I would say it’s an unintentional reference to the fact the dollar sign is actually prominent in some promotional stuff I’ve run into for CRISIS (just calling the show that for short) but the dollar sign-

Sal has some outside inspiration, particularly that cartoon trope of a shady businessman in a big coat, however unlike say, Tim and Sabrina, Sal actually tends to be more honest about whatever he’s selling (even if he honestly doesn’t know what it even is/supposed to be)

I did actually watch every CRISIS Client video for reference while making Sal, and I specifically chose from the videos about physical products and not things like services (since you can’t y’know.. physically own it/hold it in your hand)

But yeah most of the inspiration comes from the CRISIS Client videos, which should be kinda obvious considering Sal’s color palette and the fact the items in his coat are blatant references to some of the fictional products shown in those videos

When I did actually look further into the show, the best I could come up with for Sal’s design was giving him a nose that acted as a buzzer (like how you’d see on a game show). Sal’s nose can glow red whenever his nose is pressed or whenever he experiences some heavy emotion

Sal is my Neo-Clock based on “CRISIS: A MUSICAL GAME SHOW”, more specifically those “CRISIS Client” videos you can actually find on YouTube (which is also how I found out about the show)

Before looking up the show, my motivation to make Sal came from me liking the colors in those videos
