Additionally, if you have time, you may need to conduct a thorough investigation. I believe the text in the Revision version has other issues. I believe in the OG, Leo Gold was always referred to as “NSF Terrorist Leader,” but in the Revision version, his FamiliarName is now set to "Leo Gold".

Unfortunately, the fan-translated version is incompatible with the kentie's exe. However, it's good news that by following kentie's modification method, we've fixed the subtitle display for cutscenes at 1920x1080 resolution. #DeusEx

As far as I know, most of Aspyr's localization work is done using AI/LLM, so I can already foresee that the Deus Ex Remastered release will be a flop.

We ultimately didn't use any sources downloaded from the internet. Instead, we extracted the Map Text from the OG game via the SDK. So I believe it's perfectly compatible with the vanilla version. If you need help, I can share it with you.

Revision added numerous elements not present in the original game and modified some existing ones, resulting in discrepancies in names compared to the vanilla build. Consequently, we ultimately abandoned the Revision version and instead extracted the genuine vanilla map text for editing.

For example, in Mission 1, when Leo Gold is knocked unconscious, it triggers a special dialogue. However, if “Unconscious” is translated, the game cannot successfully read his unconscious condition, causing the dialogue to fail to trigger as intended.

Yes, this is quite challenging. What's frustrating is that while the Unreal Engine itself supports text encoding like Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, but the developers disabled the rendering code for double-byte text. That's why we have to go the extra mile to find a solution.😮‍💨

We actually found similar revision texts on Reddit, though they didn't match the actual text. For instance, they got Corporal Collins's number wrong. That bothered me for a while. So I'm grateful this project helped us understand the text we had overlooked.

This is because our version must replace the original text with encrypted text to correctly display bitmap fonts for double-byte chinese characters, which led to my misunderstanding. I forgot that other languages do not require this step.😂

Sorry, I realized it was my issue.😂 I used Chinese encoding to read the Ukrainian text, so it displayed as Chinese characters. I mistakenly thought they were encrypted. After adjusting the encoding, they can now display Ukrainian text. In any case, thank you very much for your help!🥰
