I've made some barely noticeable progress on my 2nd Classic Icelander.

Project details are in Ravelry and access to the Dale Garn free pattern and Highland Wool yarn are in my Pinterest.

I believe you! Our visit to Black Rocks was during August 2023 and the wind off Lake Superior was freezing. No way was I touching the water.

A hand knit sweater in progress on scrap yarn and needles. The bottom of the frame contains two sleeves stacked together, both on scrap yarn to hold the loose stitches. The top of the frame has the lower portion of the sweater body on circular needles. The diamond pattern is done with cream yarn knit in a purple background. The cuffs and hem are in two by two rib stitch with a double cream stripe.

That's a fun space for all sorts of things! If possible, I'd take the back half (farthest from the door) and prep it as a planter. I'd modify the front half as a bench to sit on for taking on and off shoes. The area beneath the bench could be turned into a niche for shoes.
