CONGRESSMAN. ACTIVIST. LEADER. John Lewis (1940 - 2020), was a U.S. Rep of Georgia, advocate for nonviolent action, and a key figure in the fight for civil rights from his participation in Selma marches to speaking at the historic March on Washington in 1963. He said, "When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up. You have to say something; you have to do something."

A proponent for "Good Trouble," Congressman Lewis used his elected position to fight for civil and voting rights, the rights of women, children and veterans, affordable healthcare, anty-war efforts, and immigration reform. He said, "Not one of us can rest, be happy, be at home, be at peace with ourselves, until we end hatred and division."

In 2011, Lewis was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In his speech introducing Lewis, former president Obama said, "And generations from now, when parents teach their children what is meant by courage, the story of John Lewis will come to mind -- an American who knew that change could not wait for some other person or some other time."

UPDATE: This just got worse. Donald Trump apparently cut a secret side deal for MILLIONS in pro-Trump ads.

That would mean Paramount and its soon-to-be owner are shelling out $30 MILLION+ to support Trump—all while trying to get his approval on their merger.

Is this bribery?
