I got another commission request. So that's 4 commissions I'll be working on at a time. I did say I was locking in, because if I'm making such a big deal about "earning" things then I have to put in the work. Thank you all so much for the help, and for spreading the news that I'm taking commissions!

Okay, I'm locked in. Two commissions are underway at once, then I have a third one to do. This is going to help me a lot, and it will put me into a better spot. I find that doing WIPs is something I can quickly do, and then I can just stop for the day while waiting for responses to WIPs.

Okay... that's an okay start. I just got two commission requests. Thank you very much for that. It sucks that it's only when I feel most desperate, rather than them coming organically and at a comfortable pace. But I suppose I can't expect things to always follow a routine.

I wonder if I can even go through with the awful process of trying to get SSI. I probably won't even attempt to start it until it's too late, and I don't even want to tell my family any of this. I still want my mom to believe I am moderately successful with what I am doing as an artist...

But how long will it take to get SSI? Will my bank get overdrafted multiple times by monthly payments over and over? How many times will my brother, mom, and sister have to bail me out? I don't want to be a burden... I just don't want to be a parasite...

At this rate I have no choice but to apply for social security income, since I can't really get a job because I'm not really capable of working one, and please don't tell me that I am. I know who and what I am, and I promise you that it isn't something I can mentally or emotionally do.

If this is really the case, that people are either just struggling and can only afford to support a few artists at a time, or the market is just saturated now... then there is no hope for me. I am doomed, and have been doomed for awhile now. It's going to be a difficult process to get SSI.

Really, I don't want to feel like a burden and a drain on people. I want to earn money myself like I used to be able to... but it feels like that isn't happening anymore. Really, how much money do I have now is money I even earned from my own work? How much of it is from donations?

I keep saying my commissions are open, that I need work, and the work just isn't coming in. It's worrying.

What's even worse it feels like people don't want to listen anymore, they all just ignore me now, maybe they are thinking "Ark is whining about money again". I usually get more support and commissions when I say I need work, but it's not working anymore, so what am I supposed to do?

I feel fucking awful and useless, like a parasite, because I basically have to rely on donations by the way to get by and to make the amount I am expected to make per month. I still have my computer to pay off, and to help my family out with groceries or other bills.

I know that a lot of this is likely due to everyone equally struggling lately, but I see other artists doing well, getting sales, and making a lot of money too. It can be in other areas too, like with VRChat avatars, and those are expensive too. I don't know if it's because our market is saturated.

I keep being told that things will be okay, that they will be better, but I don't think they are going to get better. At this point, I just want to give up and stop caring, even if I end up overdrafting my bank account. I'm tired of having to grind it out like this, it's getting to me.

It feels like things are just not going very well. I'm way behind with how much money I should have and I can't stop worrying about it. I usually got 2 to 3 commissions per week but I barely get 1 commission per week, it almost feels like 1 commission every two weeks. Art store sales are also lower.

I haven't played a military shooter in a hot minute, maybe it's a good time as any to come back. I don't know. Just, if I'm going to buy major game releases I need to make sure to EARN IT by working and producing the art you guys love. So I'll do just that.

So when hanging out with me in VRChat, Ronnie Sparco pulls out a cool gun his avatar can use, and I recognize the gun it's thanks to my experience with military shooters awhile back and being interested in guns. I still watch gun channels like Forgotten Weapons, and others like KentuckyBallistics.

I LOVE Battlefield. I played the shit out of Bad Company 2. Battlefield 3 and 4 were sublime. Sadly didn't play 5 or any others afterwards. I do like that they are just going with what works for 6 and stop trying to replace the beloved class system with "heroes".

Battlefield 6 is tempting, it's another reason I need more commissions and to keep making money at a steady pace. If I do buy things sometimes, I have to make sure I can afford it and still have plenty of munz left over. I will wait for BF6 to fully release, see reviews and player reactions.
