Great thunderstorm last night. Kind of hard to frame a random event. The bolt on the right was very close; no delay between the light and the sound.

55 minutes of star trails with a dieing tree. It was a calm night but there were occasional breezes. If a star trail looks like it in front of a branch that branch moved during the exposure. If it didn’t move it look like the star went behind the branch.

Taken near Neah Bay, WA July 17, 2025. Neah Bay is the closest town to Cape Flattery, the northwestern-most point in the contiguous United States. The drive along the coast was gorgeous. You can see Vancouver Island across the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
