Some of those reports of a potential Harvard deal have been... misleading; in particular, there have been a bunch in the New York Times which were reported as if they had Harvard sources, but which actually came from the Trump side only. Anything since unambiguously sourced to Harvard itself?

If you have a trans kid, as a parent the one thing you want more than anything else in the world is to ease their pain. I was glad when my son transitioned because he became a much happier person. Any parent who tries to inflict pain on their child must be stopped. It’s that simple.

These Supreme Court oral arguments on conversion therapy are going to be painful. No matter what is said, know that trying to force someone to be what they're not is psychological torture with measurable negative consequences, and anyone trying to defend such efforts is a bigoted monster.

Doug Wilson co-authored a (plagiarized) book that defended the institution of slavery *as it was practiced in the antebellum South*. This is how Douthat introduced the subject while providing him with the NYT's platform:

Douthat: So, just to take a related example, one of the controversies of many that you’ve been mixed up in has to do with slavery, and whether slavery is absolutely forbidden by the Bible, absolutely forbidden to Christians, or whether it is critiqued, but allowed for.

Wilson: Right.

Douthat: On this, on a straightforward reading of the New Testament, I would agree with you. I would say, pretty clearly, there is a pretty clear path from the message of the Bible to the abolition of slavery. But there is no moment in the New Testament when Jesus insists on the manumission of slaves.

The nyt is locked arm in arm w Bari Weiss who cited a hoax “official antifa” Twitter account in an embarrassing piece it pubbed in ‘18. The times had to put an editor’s note on that but has apparently doubled down on this falsehood.
