If you compare what you're doing with the sum of everything out in the world, you'll just be discouraged.

Decide why you're making the games you're making. Tune out the world, create what you want to create. Don't compare or worry about what everyone else is doing. That's the only way to stay sane.

Working on the Frozen Caves area in my upcoming NES adventure game Halcyon.

My theory is that it wouldn't be proper to have a retro action-adventure without separate Ice and Lava areas.

A metroid/blaster master mashup is exactly what it is. :-) It's called Halcyon and has been in development for a number of years now, but it's been slow.

I'd be happy to get a demo to Kevin by then, a huge percentage of the game is playable already.

I've spent way too many hours trying to come up with a good design for a dual-ended cart that supports NES on one end and Atari 2600 on the other.

I'd love to sell those for my Anguna or Robo-Ninja Climb games.
