I love when people are like, “Of course you’re creative. You smoke weed all the time.” And I’m like, “Weed is only *after* I’ve been creative.”

I guess I have to admire people who are incredibly insecure, but secure enough to post a photo of themselves every day or sharing their opinions in a video every day to complete strangers. What a paradox.

Why do people post selfies and selfie-videos every day/several time a day? Is this an example of narcissism?

Do you have friends who enjoy gossiping about other friends? Do you think they gossip about you? They do.

Lady at intermission of “Kavalier & Clay”: Enjoying it?
Me: Very much.
Her: Read the book?
Me: Nope.
Her: You have to.
Me: I won’t.
Her: You really should.
Me: I really won’t. Thank you.
Her: You don’t know what you’re missing.
Me: I’m watching a whole opera based on the book. I’m good.
Her: 🤷‍♀️

It’s 3 hours (30 min intermission included) so that’s a factor. There are some “action” scenes which they might enjoy. But…it’s very adult material (Nazis, homosexuality, death) so it depends on them? It might be a good introduction to opera since it’s an English.

I openly wept at the end of “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay.” It’s a hell of a story, gorgeously sung, beautifully cast, directed, and designed. Can’t say enough good things about it. I had a perfect seat at the rear orchestra for $80. GO! GO! GO!
