Steely and stoic, Ahnikah comes from a long line of royal guards, and does her job with pride and diligence. She developed an unexpected fondness for the young Prince Heliozhir over the years, and would gladly lay down her life for him should it be necessary.

An unexpectedly kind soul compared to his spouse, he became chronically ill before Zhir was born. As a result, he rarely felt well enough to get out of bed, and so he never really got to see much of his son, as much as he wanted to.

Zhir looks very different like this. But it’s still Zhir. His best friend, his soul mate and the one who has his heart.

You can imagine how that would be a frightening thought for someone as insecure as Zhir is. Especially if he ends up in a relationship before he ever gets this form back.
This exact thing happens in Modern AU at least 😅
