You hit the same Tahoe bug I did. I found a solution (posted on Masto earlier):

SOLUTION: If you turn desktop widgets OFF, this broken behavior occurs. If you turn them ON but remove (or move) the widgets on your own, the problem disappears. See link:

Is there some way to disable macOS Tahoe's Finder's enormously spaced grid that prevents moving icons where I want them? Even at smallest grid setting, placing near edge of screen pushes icons to the neighboring display! It's ridiculous and bad.

It looks like HP is ending support for HP-UX on Dec 31st of this year, though. (I was surprised it was still active!)

I have an HP-9000 712/100, but mainly use NEXTSTEP on it.

I finally built the BlueSCSI v2 kit I ordered from @museumjoe.bsky.social like a year ago and I'm pleased to report that it works perfectly in my HP 712/80 with both HP-UX and NeXTSTEP!

I did have to create a bluescsi.ini file for NeXTSTEP, though, as it wants specific drive geometry.

Nice! I have a BlueSCSI on my NeXTStation but still two spinning discs on my 712/100 (NEXTSTEP and HP-UX). I will have to consider one for the Gecko.
