the Narnia books all move very swiftly and are all incredibly short. I think I liked this better than the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe because other characters besides Aslan actually got to do stuff

And of course the Black Dwarfs (dwarfs with black hair mind) are the ones that are closer to evil than the other ones. Nikabrik couldn't more obviously be a traitor if it was spelled out in bold letters

I've read so much Redwall that everytime I see the word vittles spelled "victuals" I have to stop myself from reading it incorrectly (its still pronounced "vittles." For some reason)
