What all this means, though. Effective immediately, and for my redebut, all of my accounts and spaces will be considered 18+ content. Minors will NOT be allowed under any circumstance. Actual content will not be changing significantly. Thank you for your understanding.

Good night, folks.

Fair! I'm glad you found something you like :D
bligityblarg.bsky.social
Noted, thanks! I was never super into the genre myself, I can respect them but I just don't jive with the medium. Though I keep crossing wires with the word tonkatsu, which I'm pretty sure is a kind of food lmao.
bligityblarg.bsky.social
Lmao, yeah. It's on a friend group server, so when folks are showing off their legendary and shiny mons I just rolled up with that Pawniard like "I got the rarest thing here." The other three went quiet, took a hard look, "... He's not wrong." 🤣
bligityblarg.bsky.social
What is tokusatsu? Not a word I see very often.
bligityblarg.bsky.social
OH I UNDERSTAND NOW LMAO! Not good news or bad news around here, just news. Been spending maybe too much time on a Pokemon modpack for Minecraft though lol, been collecting the ones with broken animations. T-posing Pawniard for the win!

Maybe that just means that I'll have to make sure to add a survival game to my stream rotation when I return :D I've had Enshrouded installed for like six months now, maybe we'll give it a try next month? We'll see then. For now, job interview soon, can't wait to see what comes of that!

But that sense of discovery and collection is something I really get sucked into, always has been. I haven't kept up with Pokemon in like 3 or 4 generations, so there's all sorts of neat stuff I'd never heard of... even if they kinda did go the Yugioh route in terms of new weird one-off mechanics.

Been playing a bunch of Cobblemon recently, and it's reminded me of a certain feeling I haven't had in a really long time. I used to dork around in Pokemon Black on the DS, and it was really cool seeing a bunch of creative creatures dotted about. Can't tell you a lick of the story, though. (short 🧵)

🤭New kinda content for me, eh? This weekend was pretty fun, a good break from the stresses of moving house to come.
bligityblarg.bsky.social
I owe them a lot. Wouldn'tve lived long enough to even finish high school without them.

What about y'all, though? Do you have pets? Have you noticed patterns like that as you've had them? Give them a boop for me, lol.

Good night, folks. Sleep well.

Those that have been around for a while know I have a few cats, actually 5 of the beans. Love the little shits to death, lmao. But, they take care of me just as much as I take care of them. There's been at least a few filter events they've helped me push through in the last 9 years or so.

Back on topic- cats absolutely DO have good noses, and can smell those pheromones we release. That's why theres stories about, like. A cat that would lay with someone in a hospital the night before they would pass. They can smell our stress pheromones, and may act on that information.

Notably, it's also why women (and by extension, trans women) just Smell Nice, or why people who are miserable for extended periods absolutely do not Smell Nice. We don't really have the instinctual knowledge of scent meanings anymore, but there's other, more efficient means of communicating now.
bligityblarg.bsky.social
Humans have these too! We kinda grew out of needing them with the advent of spoken words (which makes sense considering we have rather dull sense of smell for mammals), but they're absolutely still a thing. It's why holding your baby to your chest is important for imprinting after birth.

Pheromones are a scent given off by specialized glands in various species of mammals and insects. They're a form of nonverbal communication taken to different extremes by different specie families. Most notable are ants and their ability to convey specific things, such as danger, through scent.

I've heard that cats have a similar brain construction to humans, meaning they are able to empathize with us. I'm neither vet nor neuroscientist, but it does seem like my cats tend to be more tender with me when I'm stressed tf out. That's partly because of pheromones.

It's also harder to tell with my usual winter depression starting recently. I have been dreaming more, which isn't usually a good sign. I didn't feel touch-starved, though. I had for a time during a previous period of abstinence, but not now. I think that's indirectly because of the extra stress.

either dark worlds or tools to lower screen brightness. Interestingly, it even helped with my dry eye problems in the morning.

Going cold turkey for the last four months, though, had some interesting results. Quality of sleep did drop, though there were... other stresses going on.

As it turns out, giving a touch deprived person the ability to hold someone to sleep is actually an insane comfort. Especially for myself, since I'm also a provider type. The weight of my Quest 2 didn't matter as much since I lay on my side normally, and the light didn't burn because I'd use--

Sleeping in VR became a thing I started doing almost three years ago. Coincidentally, it was also the first time I had a room with any real privacy in a really, really long time. That privacy also led me further down the pipeline to non-sexual, physical intimacy: cuddles.
bligityblarg.bsky.social
Wow, that last post really blew up, lol. Actually really happy to see the positive response there. I used to sleep in VR now and then, which helped a lot with various issues of mine. Haven't been able to in a while though. Think it'd be interesting to talk about for tonight's thread. 🧵

I will always be grateful for you and the community you've built. You're all amazing folk.

T-T I miss VR cuddles. Current state of things over here doesn't offer me that luxury, sadly. But the offer is noted and duly appreciated. 😊

Sleep has been a bit rough lately. Dreams are the window into the subconscious, and mine has taken a bleak turn. But, that's normal- I always get more depressed as the weather gets colder. There's a certain comfort in that pattern.

Have a nice night, y'all. Sleep well.

Bligityblarg's model lays on a couch. A woman with white hair and pale skin lays along the length of a couch, with her knees raised and relaxed. She wears a black tank top and black pants, with the top sporting the image of a mech being manufactured. Her eyes are closed, her face wearing a relaxed expression. Her head is cradled by her hands. The bottom of the photo rests just under her hips, knees barely in frame, looking down at her from above. The scene is well lit. The couch is a dark gray, while the carpet and rug are a lighter shade of gray.

Oh, I fucking hate that. I'd remembered hearing that there were ways to use the cabled connection, but VD's Discord said that Meta tries REALLY hard to obscure that usb output.
