My household has been ear infection free for YEARS and now this.
I expected this level of nonsense with the beagles and their floppy ears, but Tavi??
Well, the peanut butter on a vertical surface didn’t help (he enjoyed it as a reward/dessert) but I DID get stuff in his ears. Not far enough in, but hopefully we can do better tomorrow 🤞
Thank you! I'm bracing to go make an attempt hahaha lolsob
that is a list of terrible things ❤️
Thank you! I'm gonna need it 😅
Food distraction is my only hope and I'm not sure it's gonna work 😅
At 90 lbs of (mostly) muscle, he's a VERY effective wriggler.
He apparently had a nasty little infection going on in there, but if he could learn to communicate that EARLIER it'd be great
The first cleaning + dose was doable with 3 people. One person (aka just me) may be... More challenging.
So Tavi managed to develop TWO ear infections (bacterial and fungal) in each of TWO ears (left and right). This achievement has earned him a week of daily ear cleanings with twice daily ear drop massages and also a round of steroids.
His stubbornness is legitimately impressive.
I've informed Kenna that she's currently the good dog.
The last round, he woke me up at 4 am. I finally gave up 45 minutes later. It isn't crazy for them to be having breakfast at 5 am, but I've usually had more sleep beforehand. He, of course, is now snoozing comfortably because apparently an ear being weird is fine as long as he isn't also peckish.
Pretty sure Tavi spent the night convinced more food would make his ear feel better. We had several hour long standoffs where he hovered beside the bed, moving just often enough to keep me awake. I tried taking him outside at 1 am; he did not find it an adequate substitute.
Annnnd Tavi may have an ear infection. Wiggling in that vet appointment and cringing at the potential round of ear drops is really adding a je ne sais quoi to the week.
grad Vulcan is near and dear to my heart and I'm laughing hysterically it was 2009
Oh wow. I'd have to double check, but I'm pretty sure our state code is 55 mph limit for lights, which is plenty high enough. I haven't calculated that stopping sight distance, but it's gotta be A Number.
An absolute goldmine for the intrepid fan
I did not know there was a new show named Douglas is Cancelled with Alex Kingston and Karen Gillian until I got to the bottom
