I especially have this problem when it comes to mean/rude or dominant characters. Like, I hate seeing a character being also bashful and blushing when they would NOT do that if they were true to source...

I think twitter's preview compression was especially bad for thin lines on a white background. It made lots of posts look blank until you expanded the image.

The only big letdown here (besides the lost money) is that I don't get to see my characters drawn by someone else's hand. I was really picky about who I commissioned, or tried to commission, so I was REALLY looking forward to that art. But that's enough venting for now.

I got into drawing because I was poor and had no cable or internet growing up. When I got older, I drew my own smut because I didn't have extra money for comms.
Now, with things as they are, I'm saving just about every cent of my paycheck for a house, so it's only fair I would return to my art roots

I've decided to mark all of the comms I paid for last year as a loss, since none of them have materialized.
And none of the comms I discussed with artists this year have gone any further than simple discussion.
That leaves me with a fresh slate to do what I used to do... just draw it all myself, lol
