I’m a weirdo who likes to watch, but am chill about it and will chat all you like. But then I come from a line of weird women. My mom woke up partly through knee replacement (under heavy sedation and nerve block, not general) and wanted to watch. Her mom and I agreed we would have too.

I’ve always had good veins but ended up seriously ill and in the ICU for a few days a year ago. If I’d been there any longer I’d have begged for a central line because replacing multiple IVs was not fun. But the ultrasound vein finder is a godsend along with the vein goddess nurse.

She’s horrible, but I also think that while she married a vile male oxygen waster for money, she didn’t sign on for all this political stuff. He altered the deal. No wonder she stays away and kept her kid away.

At least I don’t remember either of them smoking! And I can totally see Mom quitting from sheer spite. I might look like my dad but I definitely got a lot of my personality from her. 😁

I hate it too but am 49 and while I am genuinely disabled I could be in better shape than I am in now just by walking or biking a bit more. My guy encourages me but it still sucks.
