I worked in magazines from the early 90s to mid 2010s. When managers started waffling about "content" it was not a good sign.

The utterly philistine "content goes here" must be one of the least inspiring phrases with which creative people are confronted.

That thing you call content is art, and exists because someone chose to make it. It's not an adjunct to your marketing and engagement plans.

When I have completed my stepdown from BLUF and have time to tackle other issues, I shall campaign for un-ironic use of "content" to be a crime punishable at The Hague.

There are photos, music, movies, art, novels, and much more. All of which are devalued when we consider them merely "content"

You don't fix trust with a digital ID. You fix it by making politicians, social services and - especially - the police properly accountable.

Without any of that, ID is just another tool for harassment.

Seen the closing of GAY on Soho described as a major loss.

My chief memory is the place is a drunk twink slobbering unbidden over my ear, and two days later having an infection that left me with no sense of balance, hanging on to the side of the bath as the room spun around me.
