Tried to practice rendering on the flesh bird drawing. I don’t love it yet but hopefully it’s getting somewhere. I had to leave it greyscale because for some reason it wouldn’t work when I tried to color it.

Since it’s been a year, I want to start actually liking my own art. Up until now I’ve disliked or outright hated everything I’ve made. I want to be able to look at my art and like it. How do I do this?

Trying to draw flesh bird character again. I really want to get better at traditional art and drawing in general. Trying to learn to shade with a mechanical pencil is tough but I know it’s possible. Also now you get to see my messy desk lol.

@cozycorpse.bsky.social I hope you don’t mind but I liked your take on my character so I tried to draw it as a form of practice. It was difficult to do some of the details with just a plastic mechanical pencil but I think I did good with what I had.
