I just can't stand it when people come in and proclaim they can't find any fanfic or fanart for a character or ship, and then imply what already exists is somehow of lesser quality. Go write that 10K fic yourself if you're that upset. Don't crap on what others have done before you for years.

I went to bat for Hijj Mitsu writers because I think this person was kind of rude to the writers and that ship's fandom for no one writing a lot of 10K+ works (and as I said in my comment, longer works don't automatically mean masterpiece quality).

The manga was popular enough to get an anime + a live action adaptation. Still, it was a surprise to see it get an official English release, too. I really enjoy the comedy, romance, and the dark mystery behind it all.

OTT. But other than that, I'm pleased with (except for a Western localization chosen to describe Tamai; it doesn't describe her at all).

Predictably a certain sect of anime fandom (mostly dudebros) are being gross toward Yumeko, but I expected that kind of immaturity. Shows a lack of experience.

In addition to 3Z, I'm also watching Plus-Sized Misadventures in Love, which I already follow the manga for. So far, it's a good adaptation, although I'm not a fan of how they animated some of the comedy scenes, esp Yumeko's inner monologues or outer rambling. It's a bit OTT for what is already

I've mainly been on tumblr lately for 3Z Gintama excitement lol. It's been something watching the fandom become active again across different platforms. It's good to have the characters back!

Old fans might even come back and new fans will surely appear. Then there's older fans like me who never left, lol. For me, it's been almost two decades of loving Gintama with some breaks here and there, devoted to other hobbies. But I always return to Gintama in the end, one of my main faves. 🤍

Ginpachi 3Z soon to air and Gintama fandom will be alive again, new fanart, fanfic, edits, gifs, etc. I've almost forgotten what that felt like. 😅 When the PVs for the movie and the series came out, it was a fraction of how active the fandom used to be.

It's so tiring that people still think filler automatically means non-action scenes like comedy or daily life moments that are meant to develop characters and plot. There are certain series I blame for perpetuating this notion among those new to anime.

🙄 You can always tell by reactions alone who's led a privileged life. Some of us don't mourn a wicked man (whose words are basically a throwback to someone from W W 2) who has spat out immense hatred toward so many and actively called for loss of our rights.
