Dr. James Bowley, who was a tenured religious studies professor at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, lost his job after emailing students that he needed "time to mourn and process this racist fascist country.”

Happy Founders Day to my Alma Mater. On this day in 1885 the first tax supported college for women in the world began classes for 341 Mississippi girls and women. Tuition was free. Every county sent (according to population) its allotment of the best and brightest students.

True. Did you feel comfortable going to a NK protest on Saturday? We were in Philly visiting our daughter. The Philadelphia protest warmed our hearts because we live in Mississippi. Still, we in Columbus, Mississippi, protest every Friday in front of our GOP Representative’s office.
