I can't argue with that. I know you shouldn't look back but it's when things aren't going well you need those characters like Jordan Henderson and James Milner in the dressing room, players who aren't afraid to rattle a few cages.

Winning the league with games to spare may have been the start of it, we switched off for those last few games, took our foot off the gas....the problem is we haven't switched back on again.

Lacking unity is the really concerning thing imo. Previously our squad always had a real family feel to it. I know there's been a large turnaround in personnel in addition to the Diogo tragedy but we need that back quickly.

Keep the faith Kev but I take your point on Hugo and likewise Isak, many of his goals at Newcastle were created by a far more direct and intense style of play.

We looked ok on Wednesday because there was intensity in our play and because of that our proper ball players produce what we know they can. In doing that we grind the opposition down too.

Morning all, morning REDS #LFC ...an extra hour to ponder our latest defeat.

Our play looks slow & predictable, surrender possession and bang, one pass, in behind our defence. At times last night we looked like a group of strangers and some of our body language wasn't great. Worrying signs. #YNWA
