The skill sets necessary for being a good actor or even a good person are not necessarily the skill sets needed to be an effective governor. Even freaking Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger got in at least *some* practice with political activism and public service before seeking that job.

There’s almost no chance they’ll get a conviction but that’s not the point. They can make his life hell for a little while and cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees. That’s not just retribution against Comey, but a clear warning to anyone else who publicly criticizes Trump.
