My new Sci-Fi movie universe theory:
Elastic-multiverse-determinism. If the universes' time starts with Big Bang and ends with a Crunch - a sci-fi movie multiverse presumes that important events that lead to the crunch MUST happen. Therefore, some events are pre-determined on a long enough timeline.
