Intro I guess, comic creator for 30 years, worked at Image, DC and Marvel. Currently drawing Gunslinger Spawn at Image and when I have time, working on my own book Lost Serpent Prince.

Thank you! Yeah I liked that suit quite a bit as well.

This is my 22 issue of Spawn… I think. Somewhere around there. First page almost done.

Rest in peace, muse. Rest in peace, Diane Keaton. Probably my first “movie crush” (sorry Jane Fonda in Barefoot in the park, you were second). She was 79.
So sad.

The huge Deinocheirus in its habitat. Illustration I did for the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Japan

In this illustration you can see a scene set in Late Cretaceous Asia where an adult Deinocheirus is scaring away a pair of young Tarbosaurus

Illustration depicting three Deinocheirus in a Late Cretaceous swamp. The one of the front is chasing a way a pair of juvenile Tarbosaurus in the foreground

This would depend on the movie and character. I’m a huge fan of the original Terminator. Sarah Conner’s arc from one to two, while jarring, was also completely understandable. But I also really enjoyed the twist on the whole relationship of Reese and Sarah in Terminator Genesis.

Should I even give a Beetleguice 2 mention? Enjoyed this, Catharine O’Hara is fantastic as always. Still needed something with the Maitlands. Soul Train, awesome.

We’re only allowed to have the Superman you deem correct, all others must never be seen? You got the movie you wanted. I didn’t like it that much.
brettbooth.bsky.social
The fact that you didn’t get that from MoS and I did tells me you too are conflating the two. You don’t need JLI level of jokes to make an optimistic movie. And if this was JLI with Superman the tone would have fit for me. It did not. Am I not allowed to have a different opinion on this?

You keep describing it that way. Bright colors happy people. MoS is my favorite movie. You don’t have to agree but you’re not going to make me not love it. We obviously have different taste in movies.

He did help people, the first part of the movie he saved those people on the oil rig, wasn’t even fully power yet. EVERYONE did not have those criticisms or I would as well. You just didn’t like it. It’s fine. I just didn’t like the new one. The tone would have worked better for a JLI movie to me.

They did a great job with Savage Dragon! Looks totally like the comic! Liking that Spawn too.

Spawn, Dragon, and Silverhawk.

I disagree, it made it more adult. It doesn’t need to be kiddie. If that’s the new direction then I’m probably out. I preferred the more science fiction take on MoS. Nothing you are saying is going to change my mind as I have heard all this before. I just didn’t really care for the new one.
brettbooth.bsky.social
In general I do too. Just not this one.

He was trying to get his son to think. Prepare him for tough decisions. You are thinking too black and white and missing all the nuance.
brettbooth.bsky.social
Everything? The poor choice of the undies not matching the suit design. The baggy loose fitting costumes. It looked cheap. MOS looked powerful. I liked the more muted tones added weight. As I said I don’t like the more childish take on Superman. My preference. Enjoy the new movies.

I don’t care if it was criticized. I liked it. Yes it would have been easy to save his father but he would have shown who he was and as we saw he was still an immature kid he father didn’t think he was ready.
brettbooth.bsky.social
MOS also had infinity better designs. These new ones looked like CW level.

In the other Superman movie yeah he dies like that. But he was alive in the Byrne stuff, they can change things.

He did give him values. But they updated it for a more modern audience. I got it. It’s more insightful and guiding than just him saying here are your values. He taught him to think.

Jonathan knew what people would do his son and wanted to protect him. A father protecting his son. He loved him so much he sacrificed himself to protect him. Did you even see the movie? I think you’re just trolling now.
